This song is great. Not sure if it’s Brian Eno being an amazing producer, or the fact that Chris Martin has really started to apply how great his life is to his songwriting, but lyrically, and melodically, there’s a real optomistic and positive tone to the whole thing.

according to wikipedia, Brian Eno’s full name is Brian Peter George St. John le Baptiste de la Salle Eno, that must be a right kick in the nuts when writing a cheque

The Kooks where on XFM tonight playing their favourite songs and one of the band members chose this song. Man I haven’t heard this song in like 10 years. It brought back so many school memories. I’ve never knew the name of it until tonight. So the first thing I did was Google it, it’s been one of those songs that plays in the back of my head and I’ve not known what it was. So I’m going to pop on a peer to peer and get a copy. I’m sure I bought the tape back in the day (it went to number one). The dude who made that song also has a Vimeo account .
